LAVA designs Martian embassy in Sydney. LAVA designs a learning environment "from Mars" for The Sydney Story Factory, a not-for-profit creative writing center Redfern, Sydney.

Due to be open in mid 2012 the project includes a spaceship-like portal system that oscillates through the length of the interior to a leafy rear courtyard. State of the art lighting, sound and fabrication animate a display, shop and writing workshop for up to 30 students and staff. The design also allows configuration of the space to support launches, talks and events that support the not-for-profit program of the space.
